A letter from India:

Hello father,
I do not know where to start from.........Ok. I am from India, the name of my city is kurukshetra( hope you have heard from Dror) in haryana state.

Dror came to my city in July-August 2006 with all members of Shiva riders ( Mr. viking 'papa g', his sons krishna and shiva, martin 'shambhu', aron, alicia, and of course Machiko ).

As i am also an Enfield rider, we found each other through a common friend Deepak ( whom house they were staying those days ).Ours plan was to ride to London on RE.......( hope you knew about it at that time ).

We have spent a good time.We use to talk in day time and in the night we ride on the NH 1.

He was full of life.I never saw him in sad moment in whole month. And on the road he was very delight to ride. His driving skills were awesome.

I always remember he used to wear a white cloth on his head, which he took from a hotel in Thialand as he told me.

Dror used to know a lot about the RE 350. When he saw mine he said , " ahaan.... 2002 model... nice". And i was surprised how he knew this.
Last year when i came to know about the tragic accident i was shattered.......****...... he didnot deserve that.

God is not kind enough to us.Please tell me about the truck driver, what happened to him. Is he in jail ? or runs away...
Where is machiko ? Is she all right ?I have heard from a rider that she got her back injured on that cruel day.

I have all my sympathy with you and the family.

"Darling Dror":

Hi Alex,

My name is Kate Benson, and I am very good friend of Drors while we lived in Japan from 1995 until 2000.

I am so sorry for your loss of a loving and wonderful son and brother. Please give my condolences to his mum, sisters and brother.

I have so many fond and funny and loving memories of Dror and our time in Japan.

We were room mates for a time and he really was like a big brother to me, as he looked out for me in many ways during our crazy and fun time in Japan. Stacey and I are also very close friends and it was her who told me about this wonderful site you have set up in his memory.

I have so many photos of Dror during those years and I will be sure to get them all sent over to you for you to put up on his web-site. I am still sorting them all out, but I promise to have them sent to you all with the lovely relevant stories of what we were doing in those times of our lives.

It is a tragic ending for such a wonderfully loving guy. He was so funny, cheeky and I really loved him very much as one of my true friends. Being so far away during times like this is difficult, but I believe he is watching over us and will take care of all those people that loved him so. I am sure you must realise that he had a huge amount of friends who loved, respected and regarded him as a brother over in Japan, and many of them at this stage may not realise this wonderful site you have set up for him, but once they do, there are so many wonderful stories to tell of him, You may need to write a book.!

My love to you and your family once again, and I think your fantastic for creating this gateway for us to remember in happiness Dror and the good times he brought upon our lives.

Dror was killed in a awful road accident in India,
on Saturday 3rd of February 2007.

We all will remember you free, young, happy, beautiful and full of life.

Hi Alex,

A moment of your time if you will, I need to share some thoughts and feelings I have about Dror.
Dror was one of the most charismatic, kind and gentle men I have ever met. He was happy, spontaneous and funny. He was generous - almost to a fault. He loved his friends and took care of all of us.

Everyday was a gathering of like minded spirits at the home he shared with Stacey, Aga, Eguchi, and any other of the "family" members. I was lucky enough to spend several years in Japan with Dror and Stacey and be witness to their love for each other but also to life. Dror lived life on the edge - the very edge. He wasn't afraid of anything.

The last time I talked to him he was back in Israel, waiting for Stacey and trying to work out how he could pass the time until they could be together again. His zest for life was niggling at him to get traveling again.

Dror was an adventurer in all meanings of the word...I remember exactly where I was when I found out that Dror had been killed, Carrie Anne (thanks Carrie)had called from Japan to tell me: "Dror killed in a motor bike accident" – No way! Dror was invincible! A train couldn’t kill him for goodness sake. No No No No!Dror knew that his friends loved & adored him but I wonder if he really knew how deeply sad we would be when he was gone…

Letter to Dror:

I hope you read this website Dror - I hope you feel the love from your Dad and from your family & friends. Your ego will love all this attention!I hope that you stop by and visit Stacey who loves you and misses you and wishes you were still here. I want to say THANKS, thanks for all that you did for me and for Aga and for all the people that you helped and supported. Thanks for always making me feel welcome anywhere, anytime, thanks for always sharing your food, drinks and anything else that you had.I hope you are happy where you are and that your need for love, action, drama, and adventure is being met because otherwise you will go stir crazy in Heaven!

God help us all.
